For questions about the website, broken pages, partnership enquiries or media requests, email us at [email protected]. We read every message, though we cannot promise an individual reply to all of them.
Want a rating changed or corrected?
This is the most common reason people get in touch, so please read this first. HygieneCheck does not carry out inspections and does not own the ratings. Each rating belongs to the local authority (the council) that inspected the business. We simply republish the official Food Standards Agency open data, and we update automatically when the council does.
That means:
- Factual corrections (wrong rating, wrong address, wrong business name, a business that has closed or changed hands) must go to the relevant council. The quickest route is to open the business’s page on this site — the local authority and its contact details are listed there and on the area page.
- Personal-data and removal requests for home-based traders are handled differently. Please see correct a listing.
